Painting is challenge upon challenge for me — a constant attempt to explore new methods; it is almost like an investigation getting to where I want to go.

Self-taught, wonderfully unburdened by the heavy "can/cannot" —however, forced to apply the roundabout a bit too often.

The most important part of painting is the process itself — the exciting part — the difficult part — the invigorating part.

Although I pull at my tether I remain an incurable romantic of nature.

I find pleasure in the mental state between dream and reality — this is exactly where my paintings exist; as intensely colourful abstractions of landscape from a world with motifs influenced by the mountains and the rocks of Iceland, the Faroe Islands and the island of Bornholm, which is my base.
